Digitalisation of holistic data connection interfaces for Gird Integration and Future Transformation (Digi-GIFT)

Description

The Digi‑GIFT project aims to design a digital platform that connects directly to electricity network asset monitors, enabling real‑time access to data, alerts, and analytics. In its discovery phase, the project defines the scale of the challenge, evaluates benefits, and develops a functional design using existing technologies, including AI‑based cybersecurity methods. It also assesses suppliers and produces a cost‑benefit and technology analysis. The solution focuses on improving interoperability, data sharing, and visibility across network assets while enhancing cyber resilience. Ultimately, it will support a more secure, automated, and digitalised energy system and inform future large‑scale demonstrations in the UK.
