    Description

The Hypertherm 85 manual plasma cutting process generates a direct current (DC) that flows through a connection, initiating the flow of plasma gas. Once the plasma gas, which is typically compressed air, reaches sufficient pressure, the electrode and nozzle are pushed apart. This action creates an electrical spark that transforms the air into a plasma jet. As the process continues, the flow of DC current shifts from the electrode to the nozzle, establishing a path between the electrode and the workpiece. This process is capable of cutting materials with thicknesses of up to 20 mm.
