The Climate Just mapping tool is a web-based publicly available Geographic Information System (GIS) developed from University of Manchester research. The tool helps users explore how vulnerability to climate change varies between different neighbourhoods across Great Britain, supporting local planning and policy responses to a changing climate. The tool has been:• used at a city-regional level, aiding economic development and spatial planning policy developed by Greater Manchester Combined Authority;
• incorporated in evidence issued by the Committee on Climate Change, the statutory body established under the Climate Change Act 2008;
• included in climate adaptation guidance issued jointly by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA); and
• incorporated in guidance published by the European Environment Agency (EEA).
