Dr Ali Al-Janabi is a NIHR Clinical Lecturer and Dermatology Specialist Registrar. He has a clinical and research interest in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
His PhD was funded by the MRC North West Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics scheme, and completed in 2023. His doctoral research investigated risk factors for, genetics and mechanisms of paradoxical eczema occuring in psoriasis patients treated with biologics. He has experience in epidemiology, genome wide association studies and polygenic risk scores and bioinformatic analysis of proteomics and transcriptomics datasets.
He is a member of the guideline panel for the British Association of Dermatologists’ (BAD) guidelines for biological therapy.
