Personal profile

Overview

I am a post-doctoral researcher with a background in human and veterinary research and experience in epidemiology, statistics, programming and teaching. My current general interests are human epidemiology, data science, clustering, regression, R programming, causal mechanisms. In terms of specific disease themes, I am interested in chronic pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis and musculoskeletal disease, and the prevention, management and treatment of such conditions.

I am currently working on a project called CHIPP (Chronic High Impact Pain Project): an innovative project that aims to discover the causes of high impact chronic pain using data from the UK Biobank. My role involves ensuring data quality, developing robust statistical analysis plans, conducting complex statistical and epidemiological analysis such as clustering methods to identify phenotypes of importance and liaising with a multidisciplinary team to produce high quality research publications.
