My research investigates the role of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and choroid plexus in regulating brain metabolism, with a particular focus on how disruptions in these systems contribute to neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s. By combining molecular, cellular, and tissue-based approaches, my work aims to uncover previously overlooked mechanisms linking CSF dynamics, folate and tetrahydrobiopterin metabolism, and dopamine regulation. My broader goal is to advance understanding of how brain fluid systems and metabolic pathways interact to influence neurological health and disease.
