Personal profile

Overview

Research Associate specialising in offshore wind farm modelling.
With over seven years of experience in computational modelling, he has expertise in RANS-based CFD and engineering wake models. His current research focuses on evaluating the limitations of widely used engineering wake models in farm-to-farm interactions and assessing their accuracy against high-fidelity LES simulations of multi-gigawatt offshore wind farms. He also contributes to cross-disciplinary projects investigating the physical impacts of wind farms on marine ecosystems, developing tools to map offshore wind farm deficits onto hydrodynamic and ecological models.

Expertise related to UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
