Lauren is a specialty training doctor in Renal medicine currently working at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is undergoing a PhD at the University of Manchester in the adverse outcomes and unmet needs associated with ANCA vasculitis.
Lauren's research focuses on the impact of glucocorticoids on clinical outcomes, patient-reported outcomes (PROMs), quality of life measures and frailty in ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV). She has a particular interest in PROMs and health-related quality of life assessment tools and their implications in clinical practice.
In addition, Lauren is part of the Greater Manchester Academic Nephrology Network and her research project has been accepted on the portfolio of MAHSC Inflammation and Repair Domain, Health Innovation Manchester. She is actively involved in several vasculitis groups and is a board member for the European Renal Association Young Nephrology Platform. She is on the social media team for Clinical Kidney Journal and is part of several international working groups.
