I am a senior clinical lecturer, health service researcher and clinical psychologist specialising in psychological interventions and support for older adults. I have over 18-years experience in clinical research. In the past 10-years I have focused on research developing psychological interventions. I am committed to developing effective and conceptually-driven interventions that develop services and better meet peoples’ needs. My current research focuses are: services and interventions for people living with dementia and their care partners, trauma in older adults, and transdiagnostic psychological processes that underpin distress and recovery. I have used the findings of these studies to develop more accessible psychological treatments and support for older adults in both community and ward settings. My main methodological expertise is in quantitative methodologies, including Randomised Controlled Trials, but I also have significant expertise in qualitative methods.
