Biography

 

 

I received the 5-years MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2001 and 2008 respectively, and I worked as a post-doctoral research assistant in the same institution for six years. In October 2014 I was appointed at the University of Manchester where I'm currently Senior Lecturer.

I'm currently running public and industrially funded research projects, primarily in the area of advanced electric machines and drives.

-          Generators for wind energy applications (PMSGs, DFIGs)

-          High-temperature superconducting machines
