Merin Shaji is a PhD student at the University of Manchester, specialising in green infrastructure in urban environments. In addition to her research, she supports postgraduate teaching as a teaching assistant.

Biography

Merin commenced her PhD in Planning, Property and Environmental Management at the University of Manchester in 2024. Prior to starting her doctoral studies, she worked in the planning sector, contributing to a range of projects including renewable energy developments and residential schemes.

She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Impact Assessment and Management from the University of Manchester, graduating with Distinction in 2023. Merin also completed her undergraduate studies in BSc Geography at the University of Liverpool, where she graduated with First Class Honours in 2022.
