Personal profile

Overview

I am a joint PhD scholar (2020–2025) at the University of Manchester, UK, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India, specializing in nanopore-based sensors—a cutting-edge technology at the intersection of biotechnology and semiconductor engineering.

As a first-generation scientist, my research is driven by the goal of translating advanced scientific insights into impactful real-world applications. At the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), IISc, and the National Graphene Institute (NGI), UK, I have developed core expertise in Class 100 cleanroom micro/nanofabrication, including optical lithography, thin-film deposition, and etching. I also specialize in device characterization techniques such as TEM, SEM, AFM, and tSPL, and use Python, COMSOL, and MATLAB for data analysis and simulation.

My research contributions include several publications in nanopore and nanoslit domain. An R&D internship at Oxford Nanopore Technologies further enriched my industrial experience, aligning academic insights with commercial innovation.

I have been honored with prestigious awards such as the Commonwealth Scholarship, the Switzerland Excellence Fellowship, and the UK-India Cambridge Fellowship, enabling collaborations with international teams focused on advancing sensor technologies.

Beyond research, I am the founder of EDUZEAL, a nonprofit initiative supporting educational access for underprivileged students, and have also contributed to tech startups, including Flipped.ai.

With a strong foundation in interdisciplinary science and a collaborative mindset, I am keen to contribute to the biotech or semiconductor industry—particularly in genomics, diagnostics, or chip design—as an innovative and impact-driven scientist.
