Nicolás is a Research Associate at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Manchester. His work focuses on the environmental evaluation of policies, materials, and technologies through a life cycle thinking approach. His recent publications explore waste management configurations as pathways to promote a just transition toward sustainability in developing countries.

Biography

Nicolás holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Manchester, an MSc in Sustainable Development with a major in Energy and Materials from Utrecht University - The Netherlands, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica - Chile. 

Previous to his PhD, Nicolás worked in the private and public sector as waste management engineer and sustainability consultant. He has performed as an associated lecturer in sustainability in several Chilean universities.
