Personal profile

Overview

I am a Lecturer in Geoenvironmental Engineering at the University of Manchester. Prior to this, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds and obtained my dual-degree PhD from the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool and the College of Nuclear Science at National Tsing Hua University. My research crosses the areas of nanotechnology applications in civil and environmental engineering, sustainability, and global biogeochemical cycling. I use a number of modelling approaches, including artificial intelligence, mechanistic mass- and population-balance models, stochastic models, and life cycle assessment techniques. I also develop and use experimental methods to represent natural aquatic and porous-media environments at a laboratory scale. I continue working on addressing today’s sustainable development needs including climate change mitigation and water pollutant management. I am excited about developing new collaborations, supervising/examining PhD research and acting as an editorial board member of peer-reviewed journals. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss any of these topics.
