Biography

Dr Samantha Borland obtained her Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology & Physiology at the University of Manchester. She completed her PhD in 2015 in Cardiovascular Medicine, entitled "Regulation of vascular calcification by syndecan 4". Throughout her PhD, Dr Borland has presented at numerous national and international conferences, and won best poster prizes at the British Society of Cardiovascular Research/British Atherosclerosis Society Meeting and Gordon Proteoglycan Research Conference. Her current research interests are in the regulation of vascular calcification by PKCα and TGFβ signalling.
