Overview

Doctoral researcher in the history of science, technology, and medicine at the University of Manchester (CHSTM), with interdisciplinary training in science and technology studies (STS) from the University of Edinburgh, and a background in philosophy from Beijing Normal University.

I study how science, policy, market dynamics, and social change have co-produced the transformation of China’s broiler industry since the 1980s. With a background in STS, philosophy of science, and agricultural history, my research explores the co-production of science and policy, the socio-technical configuration of food systems, and human–animal relations in modern society.
