Doing interdisciplinary research as a Trainee Health Psychologist: Reflections from the Division of Health Psychology Annual Conference 2024

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Health Psychology is very inter-disciplinary friendly – it combines and engages with behaviour change, medicine, social sciences, and more. However, during the ‘Open Discussion – The Future of Health Psychology’ session of the DHP Annual Conference 2024, an attendee shared that being an interdisciplinary researcher could be a lonely experience. I reflect on this comment, and draw upon other conference presentations to talk about how these resonated with my own professional journey, including research and practice.
