This chapter examines the ways in which performers and celebrities have adopted the formal tailored suit or military dress as part of their on and off-stage performance personae. Featured artists include Adam Ant, The Beatles, John Cooper Clarke, Chris Eubank, Gilbert and George, Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger.
