Overview

My research looks at ways that environmental stresses could be used in conjunction with metabolic chassis engineering to increase ethanol production in cyanobacteria. This is a potenitally industrially applicable process that could capture carbon dioxide from heavy industry and convert it into valuable biofuels, biomass and other bio-derivatives.
